Amy Johnson

Amy has worked with hundreds of clients and companies like Google, Apple, Facebook, Netflix, and Genentech to develop effective communication and leadership skills. 

Amy's Elevate methods are based on years of practice & research into the nature of effective communication. She begins with the belief that effective teaching begins with the student — who they are, what they need, and how they learn.

Amy has a formal background in speech and communication, including a B.A. in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a certification as an Accent Modification Trainer with the Compton P-ESL (Pronouncing English as a Second language) program.

Why I Teach These Skills:

I teach communication because I’ve lived the struggle. For the first 30 years of my life, I was deeply introverted, shy, and passive in how I communicated. I often felt invisible, unsure of what to say, and overwhelmed by social anxiety. I know firsthand how isolating it feels to not have your voice heard—or to lack the confidence to use it.

Learning how to express myself clearly, set boundaries, and speak up in groups has been transformational. Communication gave me confidence, freedom, and the ability to be seen and heard in every part of my life. That’s why I’m passionate about helping others find the same shift—because I know the difference it makes when you can show up with clarity, presence, and confidence.
